Firefox annoyance – rare but true

I have been a Firefox fan for a couple of versions now but I cantfirefox_tooltip_nuts believe this really annoying great feature in the latest version (3.5) of Firefox. If I hover over any part of a page, it displays an empty tooltip.

It’s hardly a feature that gets in your way but it’s damn annoying. Even if I hover over the vertical scrollbar I can see the damn thing. Apparently there has been some history of tooltip strangeness with Firefox in the past but I haven’t really delved into it too deeply.

Anyone heard of this problem before or experiencing it with the current version?

Yes, i’m experiencing the same on Windows, in Ubuntu 9.04/9.10 everything works good.
Hope to see tooltips again soon btw, they are quite handy ;)

I haven’t had anything like that happen on FireFox 3.5 in Windows XP. Maybe it’s a Vista issue? (It looks like a Vista window in the screenshot, sorry if it’s not).

It will make me sad if it is FireFox causing it :( They’ve always been so thorough with their releases.

Anyhoo, I hope you find out what’s causing it. I just wanted to let you know the same’s not happening here.

I solved the problem uninstalling and then reinstalling the Google toolbar, thank you to “brianrose” from Google Toolbar’s forums (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Toolbar/thread?tid=15f511df1aff2673&hl=en)
